*Thank you!*
Year 6 is in the books and was another magical month.

A community arts show committed to inclusion by dismantling patriarchy and misogyny.

As always, this show centers around telling our stories.  Our stories are powerful and are what makes this month long event truly remarkable.

This year's prompt is "What makes you strong?" if you find yourself in need of inspiration.    Now is the time to create!

The magic of Broad Ideas is waiting and needs your story!

A program of Galena Center for the Arts, let's make year 6 the best one yet!

Stay tuned for 2024 updates coming in the Fall.

A little herstory...

The shows’ first opening was March 2, 2018 with additional events throughout the duration of this show, including a special Songwriters Showcase, yoga, Women's HERstory night, a spoken word closing, etc.

March 2019 again offered a myriad of events including the Opening, Silent Sky table reading, a special Songwriter's Showcase, and a jam packed Spoken Word closing that really was a variety show of talents!

Broad Ideas 2020 was able to host our Opening, Broad Strokes (a painting night), and 1 night of our play "Love, Loss, and What I Wore" before the COVID-19 pandemic shut us down.

2021 got creative and went virtual.  Events included a B.Y.O.B. Opening via Zoom (Be Your Own Broad), a Songwriters Showcase via YouTube, restorative yoga also on Zoom, and our Broad Intentions installation project.

2022 saw us return to an in-person show and be the first major event in the new space of the Galena Center for the Arts.  We masked up, hugged, and marveled at pulling it off again.

Which brings us up to 2023 and what will surely be another amazing experience.  We're busy planning behind the scenes and can't wait to see you in March.   Click here to see calendar of events.
